Pousadas de Portugal is a chain of luxury, traditional or historical hotels in
Portugal, located in castles, monasteries, fortresses and places of special natural beauty and created in 1941, by Antonio Ferro.
Each "pousada" reflects the character of the local region with an unique design and decor.
Nowadays, the are thirty five "pousadas" in Portugal, which give you the opportunity to know our country, north to south. From the green valleys of Minho and the beautifull landscapes of the Douro valley, to the golden plains of Alentejo or the fine sand and warm water of the Algarve Coast, let be enchanted by Portugal.
